Men’s Fashion at the Oscars 2015.

The season of celebration is over…well, until 2015 summer blockbusters arrive. What an awesome night! I couldn’t look away from the screen. The Oscars 2015 was the glitziest night for Hollywood royalty and boy did they shine! I am not even getting into the technicalities of who won or who lost. For me the real battle was of course – The Red Carpet, and here’s a look: Men’s Fashion at the Oscars 2015.

We love fashion and fashion trends. Hollywood is the best place for designers to showcase their creations to the mainstream audience worldwide. Let me say for the record – all Women looked great on the red carpet & we support the #AskHerMore campaign. Besides, it’s 2015 and we should focus on Men’s fashion as much as we obsess about Women’s fashion.

The most stylish man on the red carpet was definitely Eddie Redmayne. He wore a navy Alexander McQueen tux and his best accessory wasn’t his best actor trophy, but a simple black bow tie to complement the black lapels of the suit.

David and Oyelowo and Channing Tatum stunned in Dolce and Gabbana. David broke all the rules by donning a red tux and emerged a winner. He accessorised his stylish tux with a brooch shaped as classic peace sign but tinted with colours of Ebola ribbon. Channing accessorised his man suit with Neil Lane studs and cufflinks.

When it comes to Men’s fashion, it has a lot to do with the whole package – a combination of dress sense, ability to effectively accessorise and distinctive grooming. A designer suit can only take you so far. You have got to be well groomed – the hair, accessories!

Gentlemen who brought their ‘A’ game to the 87th Academy Awards are Ansel Elgort in Prada, Chris Pratt in Tom Ford, Chris Evans in Gucci, John Stamos in his own design, Michael Keaton in Ralph Lauren, J.K Simmons brought old Hollywood style in a waistcoat and a pocket watch, Benedict Cumberbatch channelled his immaculate style in a white dinner jacket and the host – this right here is serious commitment to fashion and it’s appreciated.

Men who can do better next time are Jared Leto, Eddie Murphy, Bradley Cooper, Questlov
e, Miles Teller, John Legend, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Will.I.Am. Good luck for the next year guys. Before I wrap up, I’d like to talk about the strange trend that I spotted on the red carpet. What do Common, David Oyelowo, Kevin Hart, Jared Leto, and Terrence Howard have in common? Brooches! Whether it was a personal statement or a political message, those brooches on their tuxedos attracted everyone’s attention.
